Cambodia-Dutch Organization supports, among others, the children of the village Phoem Chhuk and surrounding. In 2006 we started teaching English and providing other primary education. In the beginning of 2009 Cambodia-Dutch Organization has been able to build a second school building, thanks to the Mill College and foundation Wilde Ganzen. With this new school we can provide more education.

In November 2008 we started a school project in the neighbouring villages Roemdeen and Tsjob. The project includes English classes, educational improvements and general developments like brushing teeth, washing hands etc. And of course game-days should not be forgotten. A new school has to be build as soon as possible here as well, because two classrooms for two villages are not enough. At the moment there are about 80 children per classroom.

Improving the water supplies through pumps in this region is part of the program for which we urgently need sponsors. Installing new pumps and also maintaining and repairing the existing pumps costs quite a bit.

Cambodia-Dutch Organization started building a small medical centre in the village of Phoem Chhuk, because medical care lacks in the countryside of Cambodia.

The community Champei and surrounding (province/region Takeo) also needs a lot of support. Here we’re trying to find a solution for the defective water pumps that have been installed some years ago. Further more, there aren’t enough or no teachers for the existing school. This area also needs medical help. Cambodia-Dutch would like to set up a medical centre here in the future as well.
