projectWe are going to realize Jan Camp’s dream: our new project “Better Life Education Farm”.“.

Better Life Education Farm is to become a center for growth and education and will be realized close to the moringa plantations. Plans and designs are ready for the farm, where housing and a functional space for, among other things, education for the farmers in the area must be realized. We are also planning an office for CDO and we also hope to provide a place for future volunteers to stay.

The aim of Better Life Education Farm is to teach local farmers to grow herbs and other plants in addition to growing rice. In this way we try to help them with a better income in the future.

In memoriam Jan Camp

Founder Cambodia-DutchAfter a short illness, Jan Camp, founder of the Cambodia-Dutch Foundation, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 in a Thai hospital. His family in the Netherlands and Cambodia, all the children in the communes of Khnar Po and Champei and all members and volunteers of our foundation will miss him terribly. Jan was a man with a big heart. Despite this great loss, we continue the fine work that Jan started.

VOLUNTEERING INFO

Volunteers wanted: teaching in the countryside

We are always looking for volunteers who, among other things, want to teach English and support the local teachers in preparing their lessons. It is important that you are confident, independent and enthusiastic.

Sewing Project Support

In the countryside of Takeo we started giving sewing lessons a few years ago. We want to help the locals to build an independent existence by teaching people how to make and repair clothes and bags.

medical support

In 2010 we opened our medical post in rural Cambodia and since then we have helped many local residents. The team of the medical post in the commune consists of local people.

Provide clean drinking water

Good, clean drinking water is not self-evident in rural Cambodia. Many people drink polluted water that comes from the rice fields or that has been in pitchers for too long. Water filters are an important means of addressing this problem.
